of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM):
Author/Paper Requirements
Mission
Statement:
The IAHCSMM mission
shall be to provide the members of the Association and healthcare
facilities with organized educational opportunities, professional
development, a forum for information exchange, member services
in response to member identified needs and priorities; and
to represent Central Service Materiel Management in the professional
community.
IAHCSMM's goal
is to provide timely, accurate, and informative educational
programs for its members and members of the larger healthcare
community. Please carefully read and follow author/paper
requirements below:
- Papers must be original, should be 1500 to
2000 words long, and must follow the format established by
IAHCSMM (objectives, introduction, body, conclusion, references,
15 question quiz, and answer key). Click

- Papers that are accepted and published become
the property of IAHCSMM.
- Written permission is required for proprietary
forms (i.e. sample forms from your facility), photos of recognizable
individuals, or any item that has a trademark.

- Sales presentations will not be accepted.
Authors who plan to address common products or services are
encouraged to develop presentations that do not strongly show
preference (in text or graphics) to a single company's product
or service. Presentations that depict brand-name products or
services in a negative manner will not be accepted for publication.
- IAHCSMM Educational Papers are strictly for
educational purposes. Presenters will refrain from discussion
or depiction that reflects positively on their products or
specific brand-name products or services.
Letter of Proposal
Acceptance (Timeline Agreement):
Upon submission, Educational
Paper Proposals will be reviewed and authors will be notified via
e-mail of acceptance status. Authors whose Educational Paper Proposals
are accepted will be contacted by IAHCSMM to establish a process
and timeline for the development of the paper.
